While many have dubbed the semi-final clash between Team Falcons and Team Vitality as the “grand final before the grand final,” the stage is now set for another thrilling showdown – one just as exciting. MOUZ will take on the demons that have haunted them throughout the 2025 season: Team Vitality. If you’re looking to capitalize on the CS2 odds, let’s go over some insights to get you prepared.

Signs of Strain for the Unstoppable Vitality?

Team Vitality enter the grand final riding a jaw-dropping 29-match win streak – one of the longest in Counter-Strike’s rich history. Their dominance across tournaments in the 2025 season has been nothing short of legendary, and we are already in talks about this team being one of the greatest of all time. However, cracks have begun to show in Dallas.

Despite maintaining their series win streak all the way to the final, Vitality looked unusually vulnerable in their past two matches against The MongolZ and Team Falcons, particularly in the former. After dropping a map, Vitality survived the upset scare with a tight 13-11 win on the decider.

Their semi-final against Team Falcons told a similar story. Though Vitality got the job done, they suffered a surprising 6-13 loss on their map pick, Train, a map where they previously held a 100% win rate. Even more surprising was the fact that Train has traditionally been one of Falcons’ weaker maps. Let’s not get started on their 6-0 lead in the decider, which ultimately led to a tight 13-11 win.

Still, context matters. The grand final of IEM Dallas will be played in a Best of 5 format, and that’s where Vitality’s true strength lies. Their map pool is deep, and their structure is refined. It will take a monumental effort or a few “life games” for any team to bring them down in a full BO5. A win here would extend their win streak to 30.

MOUZ: Closer Every Time – Is This the One?

MOUZ have quietly established themselves as one of the most consistent teams in the Tier 1 scene since integrating Spinx into the lineup. Yet, there’s been one recurring obstacle between them and proper trophies – Spinx’s exes at Team Vitality. Time and again, they’ve found themselves on the wrong side of grand finals against ZywOo and company.

Their semi-final match against The MongolZ wasn’t the cleanest showing, and despite a crowd that was clearly against them, MOUZ held their nerve and got the job done. More importantly, their two star performers – xertioN and torzsi – stepped up when it mattered most, delivering 1.25 and 1.24 ratings, respectively, in the series.

There’s a clear trajectory in their rivalry with Vitality: each encounter brings them a little closer to the good. IGL Brollan even quoted in an interview with HLTV after their last clash saying: “It feels like the next game vs Vitality we’re probably gonna win.”

If that prediction is going to come true, there’s no better time than now. MOUZ could pull off one of the largest upsets in recent history to not only spoil Vitality’s win streak but take the spotlight at its brightest.

Betting Prediction – Where’s the Value?

On paper, it’s hard to justify backing MOUZ for the series win, especially in a Best of 5 format. Vitality’s experience, depth, and consistency give them a clear edge. MOUZ, meanwhile, have historically struggled under the weight of grand final pressure – and doing it against Vitality with a hostile crowd doesn’t make things any easier.

That said, Vitality haven’t looked invincible in Dallas. They’ve shown moments of shakiness, dropping maps and rounds they shouldn’t have. If xertioN, torzsi, and another MOUZ member steps up, MOUZ absolutely have the tools to keep things competitive.

So unless you’re comfortable settling for short odds (Vitality ML currently sits at 1.36 on the CS2 betting markets), the smarter play is to look for value in + round handicaps on MOUZ – especially on maps like Mirage, Nuke, or Train, where the underdogs can mount some rounds on the CT side. These bets let you capitalize on the right nature of the matchup without having to call the upset outright.
