Let’s look at the top teams and decide whether we agree with GG.Bet‘s ranking of the competition.
Sentinels – Huge Roster Changes

For those unaware, Sentinels is the most popular VCT Americas team in the region. Last season, the organization backed up its popularity as one of the best VALORANT teams with a historic win at VALORANT Masters Madrid and a fourth-place finish at VALORANT Champions 2024.
Despite a great season, the Sentinels roster parted ways with “TenZ” and “Sacy” who both retired from competing after long careers. In their stead, two new players were signed:
- Sean “bang” Bezerra – arguably the best VALORANT player on 100 Thieves last season, “bang” was one of the best Controllers in the world last season.
- Marshall “N4RRATE” Massey – it’s hard to target his epic run with Karmine Corp last season where they won the VCT EMEA Kickoff 2024 and he was noted to be a star player.
Now sitting in the Upper Bracket Final, Sentinels have lived up to the expectations after taking down the likes of 100 Thieves and LOUD and are only second to G2 Esports.
G2 Esports – A New Superstar

Last season, G2 Esports was a well-oiled machine and one of the most consistent teams in the world with the following finishes:
- 2nd @ VCT Americas Stage 1
- 3rd @ VCT Masters Shanghai
- 2nd @ VCT Americas Stage 2
- 7-8th @ VALORANT Champions
Following a huge season after promotion from VCT Ascension and other wins at VALORANT tournaments, this roster has stuck together with one exception.
Indeed, addressing a lack of pace and ferocity, G2 has backtracked on their experimental g of “icy”. In his stead, they managed to secure a legendary g with the world champion, Alexander “jawgemo” Mor.
Recently, the new roster also won the Spotlight Series Americas 2024, which showed off some of the roster’s potential. At this tournament so far, the team has taken down Cloud9 and Leviatan while remaining completely flawless. Accordingly, of all the remaining teams, G2 is most favoured to make it to Bangkok.
VCT Americas – MIBR or KRU Esports?

While Sentinels and G2 Esports are favoured to move on to the next stage, MIBR and KRU Esports are still alive in the Lower Bracket Semifinal preparing for a South American showdown.
Moreover, MIBR bounced back after a loss to 100 Thieves, led by the veteran Erick “aspas” Santos. Specifically, their Lower Bracket run included wins over Cloud9, Evil Geniuses and Leviatan.
On the other hand, KRU Esports won their first match, only to then be swept aside by LOUD. In the Lower Bracket, KRU made quick work of 2GAME and then went on to shock the community with wins over NRG and LOUD.
Indeed, both MIBR (1.78) and KRU Esports (1.97) have a shot at winning this match and fighting for Bangkok contention.
