VCT EMEA Stage 1 Playoffs: Team Liquid vs BBL Betting Insights
After a rocky tournament filled with technical issues and even postponement, we’re at the apex of the VCT EMEA Playoffs. Two big matches will be played on May 16, so let’s see how we can crack the Valorant betting odds.

GGBet does not currently have odds.
Fnatic vs Team Heretics – Who Will Be The First Finalist
The day will begin with a clash of two titans. Team Heretics have been at the top of VCT EMEA for the past year, while Fnatic are looking to return to their former glory with a newly minted squad.

Just like their usual regional performances, Team Heretics have looked unstoppable in Stage 1. The squad finished the Group Stage with a flawless 5-0 record and had no issues breezing past NAVI to secure a spot in the Upper Bracket Final.
On the other side of the coin, Fnatic had to win a nail-biting series against Team Liquid to set the stage against Team Heretics. The roster has significantly improved from its 2024 iteration, but some jitters are visible for the new Fnatic squad.
The two teams faced off against each other in the Group Stage, with Team Heretics taking a very comfortable 2-0. Though Fnatic have looked rejuvenated, Team Heretics enter this matchup as a decent Valorant betting favorite. I have the latter winning the series, though a popoff series from kajaak could turn the tides.
Predictions:
- Match Result: Team Heretics to Win
- Score Prediction: TH 2-0 FNC
Team Liquid vs BBL – Former Teammates Clash For A Toronto Ticket
Though we’ve just discussed a battle between two franchise leaders, the match to look forward to is the confrontation between Team Liquid and BBL, as the two European mixed teams are playing for the final VCT Masters Toronto slot. The winner of this series will Fnatic and Team Heretics in booking flights to Canada.
Jamppi, who played for Team Liquid from 2021 to 2024, left the organization last year to captain the promising BBL squad. To qualify for his first international event with his new troops, Jamppi must complete the tall task of taking down his former teammates.
Despite going into Stage 1 with relatively low expectations, BBL finished the Group Stage with a stellar 4-1 record and mounted a huge victory against FUT to keep their Toronto dreams alive. sociablEE has been the spearhead for the team, averaging a 1.13 rating across the event.
Though Team Liquid finished second at EMEA Kickoff 2025, they haven’t been able to replicate their dominance since integrating Serial to the roster. The boys in blue botched a lead in their series against Fnatic and struggled against an inferior NAVI despite getting the job done.
Team Liquid aren’t in their best form, but their players are much more experienced than BBL. In a high-pressure match like this one, it is often reliable to stick to the team with more veterans. Though I could see the series being scrappy, Team Liquid should take the win here.
Predictions:
- Match Result: Team Liquid to Win
- Score Prediction: TL 2-1 BBL
