South Korean squad DRX entered 2025 as one of the most promising rosters in the Pacific region after bringing in rookies free1ng and HYUNMIN, who proved to be a mechanically gifted duo that injected new energy into the team’s foundation.
Though DRX performed well to qualify for VCT Masters Bangkok, momentum stalled after internal complications forced Flashback to step down from the active lineup. Left scrambling, DRX filled the gap by g Estrella, but the roster hasn’t quite clicked the same way since.
The team ultimately fell short of qualifying for VCT Masters Toronto, but still displayed flashes of potential.

The Southeast Asian squad made a difficult call by benching longtime member mindfreak to make room for rising Filipino talent PatMen – and the gamble seems to be paying off. In VCT Pacific Stage 1, Paper Rex were on the verge of a Group Stage elimination, but mounted an incredible lower bracket run to qualify for VCT Masters Toronto.
With f0rsaken playing some of the best Valorant we’ve seen from him in a while, 2025 might be Paper Rex’s year of resurgence to the top.

3. Team Liquid

Still, post-match interviews revealed that several players were sick during the tournament, which may explain their drop in form.
Though we’ll have to move them down the list for now, T1 remains a serious contender as the 2025 season continues to unfold.

In his place, they’ve brought Jieni7, a move that has yet to fully stabilize the hole S1Mon left. While their form has dipped slightly, EDG remains the best team in China heading into VCT Masters Toronto.

If they can stay composed under pressure and play their game with confidence, G2 has all the ingredients to forge a new era.
